Why Invest In A

Dog Portrait?

We’ve all heard the phrase ‘it’s just a dog’ haven’t we? But for those of us who have a deep love and connection with our pets, or even working animals, they are part of the family and often our favourite companions.

Dog photography can capture the unforgettable bond you have with your mate and give you something more beautiful than a snapshot to look back on in years to come. Their lives are sadly too short, and anyone who has loved a dog knows the sadness of losing one.

A Northern Heart elevates dog portraiture by taking photographs that will hopefully be loved forever, long after you’ve said goodbye to your pal. And in the meantime, a stunning framed print is a gorgeous addition to any home!

The shoot itself is fun and relaxed, and you are welcome to get into the frame alongside your four-legged friend, so the emotional connection can be caught on camera.

I shoot in and around the whole of Yorkshire and the north and I have plenty of location suggestions up my sleeve, so if you’re unsure of where you might like to have your photographs taken, let's have a chat and come up with the best plan for you.

Yes, some people may ask if you’re really having a photoshoot of your dog, but for those of us who know and love these gorgeous, loyal creatures, we know its both a treat and a wise investment!

☑️  Celebrate the bond and connection you have with your beloved pal (humans are welcome to get into the frame too!)

☑️  Benefit from images taken by a professional photographer, edited in a beautiful fine art style for magical results.

☑️  We will shoot in a gorgeous location at the best time of day to capture the light (I have plenty of recommendations if you don’t have a venue in mind).

☑️  Dogs who need to be kept on-lead will be given a rope harness which we can remove in the edit, so no need to stress about letting your dog off lead.

☑️  Have your photographs taken by a genuine dog lover with bags of patience who can advise on how to get the best possible photographs from your shoot with dogs of all temperaments. No pressure, just fun!
